Explore focused shockwave therapy for men and women at Advanced Medical & Aesthetics. Start with a private medical consultation, clear answers, and a treatment recommendation based on your needs.
Changes in sexual health can affect your comfort, confidence, and relationships. You can start simply: “I’d like a consultation about intimate wellness.” We’ll take the time to understand what has changed, what matters to you, and which options are worth considering.
Men’s sexual health
Difficulty getting or maintaining an erection can have several causes, including circulation, medications, hormones, and psychological factors. A medical assessment helps identify what needs attention.
Focused low-intensity shockwave therapy has been studied for selected men with blood-flow-related erectile dysfunction. Benefit is not assured, and it is not appropriate for every cause of ED. We discuss established alternatives alongside DUO.
Women’s intimate wellness
Changes in arousal, sensation, dryness, or discomfort deserve an individual evaluation. Menopause, medications, pelvic-floor conditions, and other factors may influence symptoms.
We offer consultation about DUO for women, but evidence for female sexual-health applications remains limited. We do not promise improved desire, orgasm, lubrication, or relief of incontinence. Your assessment may point toward other care or a referral.
UNDERSTAND THE TREATMENT
What is Alma DUO?
Alma DUO delivers focused, low-intensity shockwaves through an external handpiece. It is a nonsurgical, office-based treatment studied for its effects on tissue and blood flow. It is not a hormone treatment and does not address every cause of sexual dysfunction.

SELF-PAY CARE
Know the cost before you commit.
Alma DUO is a cash-pay service at AM&A and is not billed to insurance. Contact our team for current consultation fees and treatment pricing. We’ll explain the recommended course, what is included, and any separate follow-up costs before you decide.
Ask whether your service is eligible. Financing is subject to lender approval and terms.
Questions you may be wondering about.
Is DUO a proven cure or FDA-approved for sexual dysfunction?
No cure is guaranteed. Alma describes DUO as an FDA-registered and listed Class I device; registration is not FDA approval of effectiveness for sexual dysfunction. The AUA’s published ED guideline considers low-intensity shockwave therapy investigational. Research and professional recommendations continue to evolve, and evidence for women is more limited. We’ll discuss these limitations and alternatives before treatment.
You may notice tapping or pulsing sensations. Comfort varies, and temporary soreness, redness, or bruising can occur. We explain the procedure, treatment area, potential risks, and aftercare beforehand.
How many visits will I need?
Treatment is generally planned as a series. The schedule, number of sessions, and follow-up depend on your assessment and response. We’ll explain your plan and total estimate rather than promise a universal timeline.
Do I need to share personal details when booking?
You can simply ask for an intimate-wellness consultation. Save sensitive symptoms and medical history for your clinical visit or the secure intake process our team provides.
Can I stop my current treatment?
Do not stop prescribed medication on your own. We review your current care and discuss whether changes or additional evaluation are appropriate.
