YOUR NEXT STEPS
We look at your health, your history, and what has—or hasn’t—worked for you.
Review your health, medicines, previous treatments, and goals.
Check appropriate labs. A sleep study or other testing is ordered only when clinically indicated.
Discuss options, risks, and costs. If appropriate, we prescribe and support the insurance review.
Review progress, side effects, nutrition, and activity. Adjust your care as needed.

GLP-1 CARE AT AM&A
Medication may be one part of your weight-management plan. Your care also includes conversations about eating habits, activity, tolerability, and long-term follow-up.
Discuss your options ↗YOUR HEALTH & COVERAGE
Your diagnosis may affect which treatment and insurance criteria apply. These are examples to discuss—not a guarantee of coverage.
Your plan may consider Ozempic or Mounjaro under its diabetes benefit. Prediabetes alone does not meet a type 2 diabetes requirement.
Zepbound has an indication for moderate-to-severe obstructive sleep apnea in adults with obesity. A confirmed diagnosis matters.
Wegovy has an indication to reduce cardiovascular risk in adults with established cardiovascular disease and overweight or obesity.
Snoring alone does not diagnose sleep apnea. High blood pressure alone is not established cardiovascular disease. Your insurer makes the coverage decision.
Medication may be considered at a BMI of 30 or higher, or 27 or higher with a weight-related condition such as high blood pressure, abnormal cholesterol, or type 2 diabetes. Criteria vary by medicine. Eligibility for treatment does not guarantee insurance coverage.
NIDDK patient guide ↗Bring your insurance and prescription-benefit information, medication list, existing diagnoses, recent labs, and any sleep-study results. Your plan may require prior treatments, records, or prior authorization. Additional tests are ordered only for clinical reasons.

INSURANCE FIRST. CLEAR SELF-PAY OPTIONS.
Visits, laboratory testing, and medication have separate costs.
Ask us to review your visit benefits. If you choose self-pay, you pay AM&A for your medical visits.
Request visit fees and any separate testing costs before proceeding.
You pay the dispensing pharmacy directly for prescribed medication. Medication is not included in your AM&A visit fee.
Your medication benefit, authorization, and pharmacy or manufacturer terms apply separately.
With an appropriate prescription, eligible patients can explore manufacturer self-pay options.
LillyDirect ↗ NovoCare ↗External programs are not insurance. Prices, eligibility, and terms can change. Medication payments go to the dispensing pharmacy.
ONGOING SUPPORT
Ask about in-office support for prescribed Wegovy, Ozempic, or Mounjaro when clinically appropriate. Coverage for medication and administration depends on your plan and authorization.
Wegovy has a weight-management indication. Ozempic and Mounjaro are approved for type 2 diabetes, not specifically for weight loss.
B12 injections are available when appropriate, including for vitamin B12 deficiency. We evaluate this separately from your weight-management plan.
B12 is not a GLP-1 medication or a proven weight-loss treatment.
Prescription medicines have risks and are not suitable for everyone. Semaglutide and tirzepatide products carry a boxed warning about thyroid C-cell tumors observed in rodents and must not be used with a personal or family history of medullary thyroid carcinoma or MEN2. Common effects include nausea, vomiting, diarrhea, and constipation; serious risks include pancreatitis and severe allergic reactions. Discuss pregnancy plans, other medicines, and your medical history with your clinician. This is not a complete safety summary.
PERSONALIZED CARE. REALISTIC EXPECTATIONS.
Medication isn’t right for everyone. Your clinician reviews your medical history, potential benefits, side effects, and alternatives. Results and treatment duration vary.

No. We can support documentation and prior authorization when appropriate, but your plan determines coverage. Some plans exclude weight-loss medication.
Discuss your options with our team, including self-pay medical visits and eligible manufacturer programs. You purchase any prescribed medication separately from the dispensing pharmacy.
Only if your symptoms and history indicate a clinical need. Not everyone needs a sleep study or the same lab tests.
Ask our team for your consultation and follow-up fees. Laboratory and medication costs are separate and depend on your benefits, treatment plan, and pharmacy.
