START WITH WHAT MATTERS TO YOU
Discuss whether resurfacing can soften the appearance of acne-related texture changes. The type and depth of your scars help determine the treatment plan.
Explore resurfacing for visible lines and age-related skin changes. We’ll discuss the improvement that may be realistic for you.
Address rough-looking or sun-damaged skin with an assessment of your skin quality, concerns, and treatment alternatives.
UNDERSTAND THE TECHNOLOGY
Alma Hybrid combines an ablative CO₂ laser with a nonablative 1570 nm laser. Your clinician selects the settings and combination based on your skin and treatment goals.
The CO₂ laser treats precise areas of the skin’s surface as part of fractional resurfacing.
The nonablative wavelength delivers heat within the skin without the same surface-removal effect.
Treatment intensity and recovery expectations are discussed together. More intensive treatment may require more healing time.
Conceptual illustration of the treatment approach; not a skin cross-section or prediction of results.
Your consultation includes a review of skin tone, pigmentation history, medications, previous treatments, and factors that can affect healing. Tell us about recent tanning, cold sores, active skin conditions, or a tendency to scar.
Resurfacing is not appropriate for everyone. We’ll discuss alternatives when they better suit your skin or your available recovery time.
Discuss your skin goals ↗Review preparation, sun protection, comfort measures, and your treatment estimate. Plan around work, exercise, and upcoming events.
Redness, swelling, tenderness, peeling, or crusting can occur. Recovery varies with the treatment intensity; redness can outlast the initial healing period.
Follow your personalized skin-care and sun-protection instructions. Attend follow-up so we can assess healing and discuss your progress.
Risks include burns, infection, scarring, delayed healing, and lightening or darkening of the skin. Your clinician will explain individual risks and when to contact the practice. Results vary.
CARE AT ADVANCED MEDICAL & AESTHETICS
Meet with Dr. Robert Milanes to discuss your goals and options. Your plan should explain what will be treated, the expected recovery, aftercare, and the complete cost.

Meet your physician ↗Alma Hybrid includes both CO₂ and nonablative 1570 nm technology. This offers flexibility in treatment planning; it does not mean every patient needs both or will have the same result.
That depends on your skin concerns, chosen settings, and response. Your consultation will address whether a single treatment or a series is appropriate.
You may experience heat or discomfort. We’ll discuss available comfort measures before treatment and explain what to expect afterward.
Timing depends on treatment intensity and healing. Ask for a personalized estimate before scheduling, and wait for your clinician’s guidance before applying makeup to treated skin.
Suitability needs an individual assessment. Pigment changes are a concern with resurfacing, so your skin tone and history of pigmentation help guide the recommendation.
Pricing depends on the treatment area and plan. Request an individualized estimate, including follow-up and any recommended additional care, before you decide.
